  1. Embedded Ball : A ball embedded in its own pitch mark in the ground through the green may be lifted, cleaned and dropped without penalty as near to the spot as possible where it lied but not nearer the hole. The ball when dropped must first srtike a part of the course through the green.
  2. Out of Bounds (OB) : The Outer edge of the course is defined by the weld mesh fencing all along the perimeter. A ball lying beyond the fence is OB. The area around the Club House defined by Blue Marker and is also considered OB.

    13th Hole : A ball coming to rest beyond and to the left of the Blue Markers extending from the 13th teeing ground and along the left of the 17th fairway is OB during the play of 13th hole only.

    8th Hole : A ball coming to rest beyond the Blue Markers on the left of the 9th fairway will be OB for play of 8th hole only.
  3. Abnormal Ground Conditions: All Ground Under Repair (GUR) will be marked with white lines or stakes or sign posted, and relief under Rule 25-lb may be taken. Relief may be obtained under Rule 25 for ball lying on any tyre mark or wheel ruts made by course mainenance vehicles.
  4. Wherever grooves are bordering the greens or aprons for a ball coming to rest on such a groove relief may be taken under Rule 25-lb. (Ball to be dropped and not placed)
  5. Water Hazards :
    Water Hazards are marked by yellow stones / stakes.
    Lateral water hazards are marked by red stones/ stakes.
  6. Immovable Obstructions :
    The following are immovable obstructios and relief may be obtained as per rule 24-2.
    a) Sprinkler head, piper, hydrants etc., (No relief for drip irrigation tubes)
    b) Yardage markers.
    c) Electric posts. Stray wires, junction boxes etc.,
    d) Blue OB markers on left of the 8th fairway and 13th fairways are immovable obstructions for all other holes than while playing 8th & 13th.
    e) Water hazards markers.
    f) Sign boards & Advertisements boards.
    g) Protective screen behind the 9th Green.
  7. The Pump House and adjoining sheds (by the side of 8th green), the temple between the 8th and 9th holes, the shelter behind the 14th teeing ground, the shelter to the left of the second green, the steel water tanks behind the 18th green and the posts supporting the wire mesh fencing are all Integral part of the course.
  8. Ball striking the overhead wires on the 4th hole must be replayed without penalty in accordance with rule 20-5.
  9. Play Prohibited : When new saplings on the right of the 8th fairway, identified by white stakes, interferes with the Player's stance or line of swing, the player must take relief under 25-lb.

   "Stones in bunkers are movable obstructions (Rule 24-1 applies)".

    All roadways used by course maintenance vehicles are immovable obstructions defined in Rule 24. Relief may be obtained in accordance with Rule 24-2.

13th Fairway GUR
A Ball lying inside the area declared as GUR and marked by White Markers on the right side of the 13th Fairway along side the fence, may be lifted and dropped not nearer the hole. Play is prohibited from inside this GUR area.

Rules for Greens under Maintenance

When the ball comes to rest in the repaired portion of any green, the player may choose one of the following options
     a) Play the ball as it lies, treating the repaired portion as a normal green
OR
     b) Shall Mark and place the ball in the designated area, and played even if this is closer to the pin.

This relief is only for a ball on the green. A ball on the apron shall be played as it lies. Players are requested to clarify with their markers if there is a doubt on whether the ball is on or off the green. There is no relief for a ball lying on aeration holes or other maintenance work on the apron.

Breach of RUle : Match Play : Loss of hole
                               Stroke Play : Two strokes 

Tournament & Playing Rules

Regarding Tee-off
On all days golfers playing a round of Golf can Tee-off as follows:
   I - 1 & 7th Tees (follow sequence)
  II - 10 & 14th Tees (follow sequence)

Teeing-off from other Tee boxes is prohibited. This Rule shall not apply on match days when shot gun Tee-off  is adopted.

Caddie
During a round golfers cannot employ 2 caddies. A member is entitled only to nominate one permanent bag caddie.

Booking of Caddies
Booking of Caddies by phone not allowed. Caddies will be allowed on first come first served Basis.

Breach of Rule
Any Caddie trying to retrieve balls from outside by claiming over or across the fence is a Breach of Rule. As the caddy is a part of the player the caddy and player causing damage to the fence will be viewed seriously and action will be taken by the Executive Committee.

There have been instances in which members have brought food from outside to the Club for consumption. Please note that no food shall be brought from outside by Members, under any circumstances, except for parties as laid down separately.

5 Ball & Above Groups

  1. With effect from Ist September 2006, on the mornings of Sunday and National Holidays upto 1:30 pm, 5 Ball and above groups are not allowed.
  2. Any group playing a stipulated full round of 18 Holes starting from the first Tee, Shall have preference over the other players playing non stipulated rounds. However, Match will have preference over the others.

Handicapping
Golfers are requested to ensure before that before dropping the cards should bear the Markers Signature and the Name, or the Score Card is invalid for Handicapping.

On Tournament Days
Players desirous of playing on tournament days are requested to book their slots one day before.

Other will have no preference

Minimum Green Fee

At the Executive Committee Meeting held on 11th September 2007, it was decided to continue charging of Minimum Green Fees on a monthly basis. However, if a member plays, less rounds in a month, he shall be eligible to carry forward the balance of rounds in a quarter. The quarter shall be January to March, April to June, July to September and October to December.

Senior Golfers Local Handicap

“Senior Golfers” who has completed 65 years of age will be allowed to put in card for 9 hole to obtain “Local Handicap”.

“Local” Handicap implies that the member can participate in tournaments of our Club only, will not be eligible to win a trophy.

In the event a Senior Member wants to be eligible to win a trophy or play in tournaments outside Coimbatore will have to follow the “USGA” System of Handicap., (Which does not permit 9 hole cards to be accepted).

Cell Phone

The Committee has banned use of Cell phones on the Course. But it has been found there have been many instances were members are using their phones. From 1st June 2007 Cell phones cannot be carried into the Course. If such usage is brought to the notice of the Executive Committee the member shall be subject for immediate suspension (Period: discretion of the Exe.Committee). Show cause notice will not be issued prior to suspension.

Handicapping

A Minimum of two cards should be dropped every month for the purpose of Handicap. Failing to drop a minimum of two cards, you will be penalised by one stroke, every monthly.
